• Left to right feed; 1" (25mm) min to 17" (430mm) max. width cap., 1" to 8" thickness cap., 4' to 20' board length cap.; cross sections of 2" x 17" wide, 6" thick x 12-1/2" wide, and 8" thick x 9-1/4" wide possible. Cutstock length can be as short as 5"; cuts softwood or hardwood.

• Equipped with: 18.4 HP, 3,600 RPM Arbor motor, 27-1/2" (700mm) dia. saw blade; 15 HP servo drive feed motor accelerates material up to 750 FPM, (3) pneumatically operated top rollers and (1) driven bottom drum roller positively feed the board to the saw, then stop quickly for saw to make precision cut.

• System consists of:

• Infeed with 15' wide x 10' long motorized 5-chain infeed deck to the marking station; 15" wide x 18' long motorized canted roll infeed table.

• Camera section with 14" wide feed belt; measuring station with fluorescent camera and width measuring where boards are measured by the double wheel measuring system while the top mounted luminescent camera detects the crayon defect marks.

• Transport belt: 14" wide feed belt between measuring station and saw, processes full length cap. board.

• Saw Station features: Saw stroke cylinder with acceleration & deceleration unit for very high cutting speed; the patented Waste Gate eliminates short waste & end trims at the saw blade.

• Outfeed & Sorting: 14" wide accelerating belt conveyor to (1) scrap and (10) cutstock sorting stations; with 57' long sort belt with drive; kickers are encoder pulse controlled and sort by any combination of length, grade and width, can be programmed to kick singularly or to kick in "twos or threes" for larger heavier boards. End of belt is programmable as a sorting station for long fixed lengths, salvageable finger joint lengths or long waste pieces.  Sorting system includes (5) accumulating sorting conveyors consisting of: (3) 72" wide x 135" long incline belts, (1) 84" wide x 135" long incline belt (1) 41" wide x 130" long flat belt.

• Separate control cabinet with OptiCom Direct Assist software package: Industrial PC-type computer (multi-tasking, with VGA monitor, 101-key board, hard disk for data storage & floppy disk drive; controls all system functions including Measuring, Optimizing, Cutting & Sorting.

• Software program handles (16) board groups, each with (8) grades and (200) fixed lengths; production statistics on quantities, grades & times; graphical representation of boards; simulation of board data; full fault indication and "onboard" diagnostic. – [Ref. SO-010284]
